Women in Automotive Technology Appoints New Board President
March 5, 2025 - Silicon Valley, CA - Women in Automotive Technology (WAT) today announced the appointment of a new president, Linda Campbell, to lead their Board of Directors. Campbell, who co-founded the organization alongside founder Michelle Avary in 2013, has extensive leadership experience and a trusted network in the automotive and tech sectors.
Campbell takes over for past president Michelle Gee, and joins an esteemed board led by strategic advisors Michelle Avary and Manuela Papadopol. Board members include Ankita Sancheti, Lisa Dolan, Lissa Franklin, Karolina Chachulska, Katelyn Magney-Miller, Kathryn Mullins, Kelsey Abdollahian, Natasha Kachenko, Sarah Thornton, Serena Chen, and Sonya Shorey.
Expert at building technical partnerships and ecosystems, Campbell has played a pivotal role in shaping meaningful collaborations between small companies and industry leaders to drive revenue and innovation for both. Her experience building partnerships and the supporting programs, teams, and processes serves as an excellent foundation for the work she’s doing at WAT. Her tenure includes startups, industry-leading companies, and global giants, from QNX and Bluescape to Harman, Itron, and BlackBerry. Today, she self-identifies as a multi-hyphenate—running her own consulting company, advising startups, drawing cartoons, and serving in her new role as WAT’s president.
“We founded this organization over ten years ago to elevate women leaders in the automotive technology space. While we’ve made progress toward a more equitable workforce, there’s still much work to be done,” said Campbell. “I’m thrilled to serve as the president of Women in Automotive Technology.”
